The C-ITS Corridor project member states Austria, Germany and the Netherlands signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the introduction of cooperative services on the corridor Rotterdam-Frankfurt-Vienna.
During their meeting in Salzburg in March, the International Strategic Coordination Team (ISCT) of the project decided to organize a one-day workshop to exchange experiences amongst the project teams of Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. Rijkswaterstaat, being the representative of the Netherlands, was requested to coordinate the organisation.
Today, June 19th, the workshop is taking place in Frankfurt. The participants from Hessen Mobil, BASt, ASFINAG and Rijkswaterstaat discussed the following topics:
- The specifications and test results regarding the safety trailer in the 3 countries
- Roll-out costs and cost/benefits
- Brainstorm roll-out strategy
Being involved in a joint workshop, it once more became clear that close cooperation is key for successful harmonized introduction of joint deployment of cross-border day-1 cooperative services.
